Waypoint serves as a comprehensive waypoint management tool, enabling users to save and organize waypoints effectively. Users can plot these waypoints on a map, granting them access to pertinent information, as well as utilize Google Maps for directions, street views, and topographical data when available.

One of the notable features of Waypoint is its ability to categorize location data, allowing for efficient organization of information based on the type of location. It supports three primary categories of data: Waypoints, Routes, and Tracks. The selected category influences how location data is visualized and exported via the GPX export function.

Categories can encompass a variety of interests, such as fishing, boating, hunting, parking, and other specialized location data. Users can fully manage both categories and waypoints, with options to create, rename, move between categories, and delete as necessary.

Waypoint includes a Proximity Alert feature that notifies users when they are within a designated distance of a waypoint. This can be customized through the Edit Notifications menu, ensuring users receive timely alerts.

For those interested in sharing locations with friends or transmitting specific waypoints, the Share Location and Share Waypoint functions facilitate easy sharing via email, SMS, Facebook, Twitter, and more. However, it is important to note that this feature is exclusive to Waypoint Pro users.

Free Version: The free version includes advertisements and permits the storage of up to three waypoints. Not all features are available in this version; upgrading to Waypoint Pro unlocks the full suite of options.
